The third-floor ballroom — The Reed Ballroom — is where Salem holds its most important celebrations: weddings, galas, proms, corporate events. The Room
The Reed Ballroom occupies the third floor of the Reed Opera House at 189 Liberty St NE, Salem. The space has high ceilings, original architectural character, and an open floor plan that works equally well for seated dinners and open receptions. Load-in is via the Liberty Street entrance. The venue team is professional and easy to coordinate with.

The room’s acoustics reward a well-positioned DJ setup. We hang speakers to cover the full room without overpowering the corners where guests often gather for conversation. For weddings, we set ceremony audio at the east end and shift to reception configuration during cocktail hour — all without your guests noticing the transition.
