Gardens at Riverside
Gardens at Riverside is six acres of established gardens on Riverside Drive in Albany, a Japanese garden, a cherry blossom garden, a gazebo, an English garden on a three-acre pond, and the chandelier-lit Oak Room for receptions. We have DJ'd weddings here, the reel below is a recent one, and the dance floor stayed full to the last song. Here is how we run sound and cameras on a garden property.
How we work Gardens at Riverside
Garden ceremony, indoor party
Most weddings here marry in the gardens and move to the Oak Room for dinner and dancing. We run separate sound for each space, so vows are clear by the pond and the dance floor hits when the doors close.
Outdoor sound without the echo
Open garden ceremonies need directional speakers aimed at the seats and wind-protected mics. A six-acre property does not get blanket sound, it gets aimed sound.
Chase the garden light
The gardens are the photo op, cherry blossoms, stone paths, the pond at golden hour. We build the timeline so you can slip out for portraits when the light lands without stalling the reception.
Booth in the Oak Room
The reception room has space for a booth without crowding tables. Guests rotate between the dance floor and the booth all night, and the overlay carries your names.
