Salem Convention Center

We have produced more events at the Salem Convention Center than at any other venue in our 20-year history. Weddings up to 1,000 guests, corporate parties, casino nights, arcade nights, all across 30,000 square feet across 14 rooms of rooms we know cold. We know the load-in dock, the room configurations, and the coordinators, so the setup questions are already answered before you ask them.

Setup notes from the building we know best

Grand Ballroom sound

the Willamette River Room has big-room speaker placement. Those are fine for announcements, but a dance floor needs sound at floor level, so we bring our own system and aim it at the dancers, not the ceiling.

Breakout rooms are a different job

The Santiam Room and the smaller breakout rooms need tighter, directional speaker setups than the ballroom. Same event, different rooms, different rigs. We plan each one before load-in.

Booth placement in a big room

A photo booth stuck in a far corner sits empty. In a room this size, we place it on the path between the bar and dance floor. Every style includes instant text delivery and an online gallery. Most styles include an attendant; the Companion is self-serve.

The venue runs a tight timeline

The Convention Center enforces its schedule and sound cutoffs. Our MC confirms the runsheet with the venue coordinator before the event starts, so the last dance ends on time instead of mid-song.

Load-in is already solved

We know the load-in dock, the room configurations, and the AV infrastructure. No walkthrough needed, no surprises on event day.

No travel fee, we're neighbors

The Convention Center is at 200 Commercial St SE. Our studio is at 285 Liberty St NE, a few blocks away in downtown Salem. There is travel is calculated by service and the exact charge appears in your quote.

Having worked on many events with Apogee Events, I can say that their performance is top of the line. The staff is professional, easy to work with, and present great ideas for room design, music selection, and Emcee services. Their photo booths are easy to use and produce excellent quality photos, videos, and memories.

Super flexible when things changed in the schedule. Did a great job with announcements so no one missed a thing.

Highly recommend working with Apogee. We are very busy and had little time or energy, but wanted the wedding of our dreams. They made it happen with little help from us. They offer all the services you may need.

Salem Convention Center questions

How much does a wedding DJ cost at the Salem Convention Center?
$1,650 for five hours, ceremony sound through last dance, with MC, dance lighting, and custom uplighting included. Add any of our seven photo booths and the flat price is $2,445, which saves $550 vs booking them separately.
Can you run a corporate party or casino night at the Salem Convention Center?
Yes. Event DJ is $1,250 for three hours. Casino night is $4,495 for four tables and a four-hour event with three hours of dealt play, using fun money only. Non-wedding events also get $200 off any photo booth when it is booked with the DJ.
How many guests can you handle at the Salem Convention Center?
The venue holds up to 1,500 guests in the Willamette River Room across 30,000 square feet across 14 rooms. We size the sound to the room you booked, the Willamette River Room needs a different setup than the Santiam Room, and we already know both.
Does the Salem Convention Center have a sound cutoff?
Yes, the venue enforces its timeline and sound cutoffs. Our MC confirms the runsheet with the venue coordinator before the event, so nothing gets cut short and nothing runs past the limit.

No. Our studio is at 285 Liberty St NE, a few blocks from the venue, and travel is calculated by service and the exact charge appears in your quote. Setup and load-in time is on us, not your bill.
