The Grand Ballroom

We've set up a full DJ rig and our 360 booth inside the Grand Ballroom, the video on this page is from a real event there. A big Salem ballroom rewards two things, sound that reaches the back tables and a booth placed where guests already walk. Here's how we'd run yours.

How we'd run your night at the Grand Ballroom

Size the sound to the room

A big ballroom swallows a small speaker rig. Past 150 guests we run distributed speakers so the back tables hear every toast, not just the dance floor. An extra speaker and mic is $200 if the layout calls for it.

The 360 booth works here

We've run our 360 video booth alongside a full DJ setup at the Grand Ballroom, that's the video on this page. The 360 needs a clear circle of floor plus room for the line that forms, and a ballroom has both.

Put the booth where people walk

A booth near the dance floor and bar runs all night. One parked by the exit does not. Most styles include an attendant; the Companion is self-serve. We choose placement with you during setup.

Uplighting earns its keep in a ballroom

Big walls take color well. Custom uplighting in your palette is included with the wedding DJ package, it is not an upcharge.

Keep dinner photos clean

Dance lighting stays off until the dancing starts. Your photographer gets even light through dinner and toasts, then the floor gets the show.

We load in from downtown

Our studio is at 285 Liberty St NE, minutes away in downtown Salem. Travel is calculated by service and the exact charge appears in your quote, and load-in timing is easy to coordinate with your venue contact.

From events here

Having worked on many events with Apogee Events, I can say that their performance is top of the line. The staff is professional, easy to work with, and present great ideas for room design, music selection, and Emcee services. Their photo booths are easy to use and produce excellent quality photos, videos, and memories.

Does a 360 photo booth fit in The Grand Ballroom?
Yes. We have run the 360 booth there with a full DJ setup, and that is the video on this page. Booths start at $545. Every style includes instant text delivery, a custom overlay, and an online gallery. Most styles include an attendant; the Companion is self-serve.

What does a DJ and photo booth cost together?
$2,445 flat for the wedding DJ plus any of our seven booths, and the booth runs the full six hours. That saves $550 versus booking them separately.

Yes. We size the system to the room and guest count so every table hears the MC, and we add speakers when the layout needs them, $200 per extra speaker and mic.
